Renaming Multiple Files
Renaming Multiple files at once
Renaming multiple files or images at the same time: Like most, we often download multiple images or files at the same time and they are ALL named the same. So looking for it again would be frustrating. But here is a cool little trick you can do to rename multiple files or images.
Step one:
In Finder, find your items and highlight the ones you want to change (you can highlight multiple files in a row by holding down the “Shift” key and selecting a start file and an end file; OR you can select multiple dispersed files by holding down the “command” key while selecting each).
Step two:
Right-click (either click with two fingers on the trackpad or hold “control” and click with one finger) and select “rename” and then select Format> Name and Index> After Name (Custom Format - you may name it what you choose to). Click on Rename.
Step 3:
You will see your newly named files in order and now is easy to relocate and identify which files are which.
