Library: NoodleTools
This week we're shining the light on NoodleTools!
Are you working on a research-based project and want a tool that can create and save your citations, organize your notes, and help you work collaboratively with other students in your class? Enter, NoodleTools!
To get started, you'll either need to log in or create an account using your Avenues email credentials ("Access via G-Suite" on the sign-in page)
Once you're in:
- Click on “+ New Project”
- Select “Chicago/Turabian” as citation style and “Advanced” as citation level (unless otherwise directed by your teacher)
- “Project/Title” - Give your project/paper a name
- Click “Submit”
Helpful Tips:
-
Name projects by assignment, not by class. Chances are you'll have more than one assignment per class!
-
Create sources as you go. If you read something interesting, watch a video, listen to a podcast, etc.... create a source in NoodleTools right away. Then, when you need to generate a bibliography, everything will be in there already!
-
Use Notecards, a feature designed to keep track of direct quotes, paraphrased text, and any original thinking you have about each source. Notecards can be exported into a Google Document, so you can see everyone on one page when you are compiling all of your research.
